The Rebbe’s Teachings On This Weeks Parshah – Vayeitze 5752

Moshiach: We have ended the Avodas Habirurim (collection of sparks of Godliness, around the world, necessary for Moshiach to come.)

A Tzaddik: The life of a Tzaddik is not a physical life, rather a spiritual life, namely, faith, reverence, love etc. for God.

Avodah – Serving God The ultimate goal of Avodah (serving God) is to incorporate the body in the service – i.e. not that there is a dual personality,; a person’s spiritual and physical; rather the spirit becomes the physical (as the body serves as a vehicle for its expression.)

Full Days Every day is like an item of clothing we need to wear, if we miss a day – serving God – we lack a garment of clothing.

The Souls Journey Yaakov leaving Israel to Charan, is the general mission of the Jew; for our soul leaves the Israel above, to Charan (Charon af shel makoim, a place devoid of Godliness) and of course the intent is, that we should transform the material into the spiritual; to the extent that they become one, and additionally we grow (the tremendous benefit of the soul on earth.)

God within the physical The ultimate goal of Avodah, is that through the revelation of Atzmus, God Himself (which has occurred, as we are in the footsteps of Moshiach) the physical becomes not only a vehicle of Divine expression, but becomes a source, for from the standpoint of Atmzus, dark and light are equidistant, hence when Moshiach comes, the physical will testify about the spiritual (as it states, the walls of a person’s home will speak about the deeds within.)

Rebbes – Chassidus All the Rebbes were a progression of revelation of Chassidus (Alter Rebbe, Chochmah, Mitteleh Rebbe, Binah etc.)
