The Rebbe’s Secret

Life is confusing because we have conflicting desires – we appreciate serenity and tranquility – we love positive achievement! – these alone are opposing qualities.
The Rebbe taught us a great secret – which he predicts will be the “status-quo” in the universal messianic era (which we now have access to) namely, on one hand, eternal peace, tranquility; and on the other, eternal growth.
How can a person both, continuously be, growing, which necessarily means abandoning your current frame of reference for a better one – completely altering your very consciousness, as well as have serenity, which would be the opposite, staying firm and stable in one’s mindset?!
The answer is what makes Judaism (as explained through Chassidus) unique:
For every notion I know of, falls on its own sword, for its very existence, is its limitation – for by achieving its end, it ends.
On the other hand, spiritual growth must be approached with simple innocent faith – in other words, God could instantaneously transform anything and everything – rather he seeks for us to be the transformers!
So this creates a dual reality – on one hand, we are God’s subjects – born to, where – placed by and how He chooses – but as opposed to this servant status, creating complacency, despondence, lethargy and laziness, on the contrary, as it is God’s desire, hence ability, hence empowering us, to create transformation, we therefore simultaneously are given the ability, within the boundaries of goodness and kindness, to continuously become ever better.
