The Rebbe teaches something extraordinary, namely that what is the meaning of the Alter Rebbe’s example that the King in Elul goes into the field – shouldn’t God’s place, like a King be in the Palace (in spirituality) in fact this is one of the greatest conundrums – why did God make earth – the answer is that God’s desire (like anyone normal) is not to be God, rather to unite – which means to come to the other, in their reality! and a loving relationship ensues
