The Rebbe says that the light of God increases yearly and daily

How can this be?
Aren’t we the lowest of generations?
Just look at the pornography, the lack of respect, etc., etc., which probably hasn’t existed since the beginning of time.
The answer will shock you.
The beginning of this world found mayhem.
Then came the Torah and introduced a light.
But ironically the light of the Torah is not the ultimate, rather just a step towards the light of Moshiach (in the terminology of Chassidus Havaya towards Havayeh Dilealah / Atzmus.)
What is most unique about our time is the revelation of Atmzus has begun.
Atzmus is very different from the light of the Torah.
“Wisdom was asked: What is the fate of the transgressor? Wisdom replied: ‘Evil pursues iniquity’ (Proverbs 13:21).
Prophecy was asked: What is the fate of the transgressor? Prophecy replied: ‘The soul that sins, it shall die’ (Ezekiel 18:20).
The Torah was asked: What is the fate of the transgressor? Torah replied: He shall bring a guilt-offering, and it shall atone for him (Leviticus, ch. 5).
G-d was asked: What is the fate of the transgressor? G-d replied: He shall do Teshuvah, and it shall atone for him.
In other words God isn’t worried about sins, not only is he not worried about sins, he creates them for the simple purpose that life is about doing Teshuvah.
We live in the era of Teshuvah i.e. people consciously choosing God.
