The Rebbe said – for thousands of years we Jews were called to literally give our lives which we did willingly happily time and time again (the holocaust being the last of thousands of such inanities) today we are also being called… not physically… but to give up our stupid instinctual desires (lust for power and recognition in which all other lusts are derivatives)
