The Rebbe often writes as a blessing – one must recall, here is a man who had all of Judaic teaching on his fingertips – "Success physically, Success spiritually, and Success in Both Together!" – perhaps the following is a nice insight – success physically is really God’s blessing – success spiritually, is really our strenuous effort (for as we know, in spirituality, only effort succeeds – for this is the mechanism the Creator made us – in other words, we have two souls: one self-orientated (for example eating, sleeping etc.) the other selfless, but to be selfless, we need to overcome the self-instinct) and success in both together, means, growth; which ironically, is the combination of Divine inspiration (for to grow there must be some kind of inspiration beyond your current) coupled with spiritual effort.
