The Rebbe gives an example – just like a person who wishes to survive in an ocean, must be not only in a ship, but a ship which is solid, a ship that can withstand the waves, a ship that can withstand the storm, a ship that has the necessary food for a human to eat, the right water etc. so too a soul that comes into the tumultuous, warring waves, and fads and insanities of this world – in order for it to withstand – it must either be raised in an environment in which people keep Torah and Mitzvahs, or must raise themselves higher, than the stupidities of foolish pursuits
