The Rebbe describes, two fundamental states (iskafiya and ishapchah) that we traverse through on our journey into the Divine realm – first comes ishapchah, the transformation of being selfish, thinking ‘pleasure is the ideal’ garnished with grandeur, to realizing, there is a higher being calling us! the second is to answer that higher calling, day in, day out, every moment of every day, iskafyah.
