The Rebbe describes the true messianic reward, something literally impossible, yet with God’s infinity, will manifest, the nature of our endeavor in life is of course growth, which involves transformation, which involves shifting, which involves change; which hence is an uncomfortable experience, not very different from moving from one location to another – yet the nature of reward is attaining a gift of tranquility, serenity, (think retirement) one that eliminates all sense of fear, anxiety, difficulty, hence reward and growth seem opposites, for if you live in peace, you cannot be growing, yet in the messianic era (which as the Rebbe said in 1991 has begun) we will miraculously receive both these Divine gifts – a life of perfect peace and tranquility and simultaneously a life of infinite cycles of growth – thanks, God!
