The Rebbe both taught us and demonstrated, that before we care for both our own spiritual and physical needs, we must make quite certain that everyone else is cared for! (as the Alter Rebbe says, that the commandment to save your life before another’s, is only if there is one flask of water, but if the question is you having chicken or a steak, while another doesn’t have bread…!)
