You would think from all the exit strategies which reform and conservative are but only the recent kids on the block; there were the kariats the saudicies – in a religion that is literally four thousands years old there has always been one of five trends – the first are the committed to the authentic tradition – in opposition to that, there are those who seek to assimilate, as it ain’t easy being a minority – especially with brain – in-between there are another three versions, there are those who wishing to maintain their Jewish identity, created separate Jewish movements such as the Sadducees, reform, Conservative;  of these there is a fundamental divide, for some did so out of need, others out of desire, for example, it can be, it wasn’t an option to simply assimilate in Europe, hence the only mechanism to ensure both a Jewish identity and assimilation was to simply copy what was going on in the Cristian world in the Jewish world, which sums up to a tea the reform movement (certainly it’s origins) then there are those who have already been assimilated, yet seek more Judaism, hence similar to the conservative movement they walk a bizarre line between both commitment and rebellion – and the fifth category were those started like the karriats simply for political reasons (as many religions such as the church of england etc. were)
