The reason man needs God, is because by the time an idea which is driven by emotions – as emotions drive all thoughts and desires – reaches our intellect; if the idea is good… because we also have an ego, we immediately feel good about ourselves, but if the idea is bad, we immediately justify it, based on the "fact," that the other is "evil"
