the reason it is so hard to understand our reality, is there is nothing in our reality that gives us a clue as to what it is – I once chanced upon a kabbalistic book which said that “every time we look, our entire paradigm is given to us falsely,” for every look (scientifically atoms are waves and when you look at them, they become stationary particles) so every time you see something, it subconsciously declares itself to you as having “independent existence” – and even if I were to tell you it is all Divine energy, you still would not understand our reality, for that too is an existence – reality does not come from existence – so how can something come from nothing?! – but that’s the point, whoever is the nothing that created our something, is not a something; for if he was, he couldn’t have created something so diametrically different; as our Jewish masters teach, the jump from spirituality to physicality is a quantum impossible leap; hence only a being with impossible qualities, can transform himself from the state of what we call nonexistence (spirituality, like thought) to the state of concrete existence – but even then we don’t understand this being, for all we have really said is that he is like a magician – capable of creating something from nothing – but actually once we say he is a magician, we are getting the closest possible to understanding – for the essence of magic is, it defies our reality – things that are impossible can happen – once we understand that the impossible is possible, we can get a vague inkling of who this God-being is- for if the impossible is possible, than what is possible is not reality, it is only a single manifestation of possibility – o.k. we are getting closer – now here is what the Kabbalists teach us was the choice (for actually if it is just a manifestation of the magician’s wand, it was thought-out choice) so the conscious desire / choice God had was to bestow his love upon us – so first he created the fictitious universe we think exists independent of the wand’s magic, bringing it into being continuously – then he put in observers who firmly believe as Einstein said “our reality is an illusion, albeit a very persistent one” – next he allows the observer to roam around in the mud, eventually realizing that he is filthy and seeking a bit of purity, looking for truth – then whammo the light “there is a Creator, he is awesome and kind, loving and caring, ad-infinitum!” gets revealed; but that whammo is not the story, for that is still the Creator defined by the limited perspective of the creation! – the creator as we said is like a magician with infinite possibilities! – hence the true love of this infinite wand – the true possibility of infinite possibilities – is to continuously reenact new realities! paradigms! transformative life lessons!
