The real truth

By zevi770 · October 19, 2015

I recently encountered an unbelievable line – for those who haven’t noticed, Judaism and particularly Jewish Mysticism is not a logical structure – Judaism is the basics of human goodness and kindness – Jewish mysticism is inspirational – in other words, kick-starting our emotional reality in order to seek goodness and kindness.

You see, we humans are primarily seeking pleasure.

In an absence of pleasure we will, as people do, besides getting addicted, but do crazy things whether it’s going upside down on a roller coaster, bungee jumping etc. etc.

In other words, God too wants pleasure – pleasure is the motivating factor behind all thoughts speech and actions (and the converse, fear of pain.)

So it is obvious, that there must be a pleasure God envisioned he would derive (And as he envisioned it, he will derive it, for it is his vision that creates.)

And this is the amazing thing I read, for within Jewish mysticism there are five reasons mentioned for the creation of the world (as I don’t want to digress, I won’t) But the true reason (in other words, the reason behind all the reasons) is this (the Rebbe quotes this from the Alter Rebbe) teshuvah.

In other words, God envisioned a world in which we would discover truth.

This simple reality explains every single thing (as the Rebbe teaches, when one arrives at the core truth, it explains all of its details.)

Now we understand why the world (as Kabbalah teaches, which come from the word helem) conceals God.

Now we understand why we get up to so much mischief.

Ultimately, the entire fabric of our reality is a plot or more like a game which allows man through first experiencing the following of his stupid predilections that they are all worthless – this has mainly happened in our affluent time, for when there is lack, people become obsessed with the lack (for example in Africa where I lived for over a decade the poor blacks are not searching for the meaning of life, but money, and those who become wealthy have usually so ingrained that money is everything, they are completely into showing it off – conspicuous consumption) But when people grow up in affluent societies, particularly free, so they don’t feel repressed (again the real idea behind the enlightenment which was the overthrow of authority to allow mainly sexually repressed desires free flow) then and only then, are people truly interested in finding the truth.

.

And the person who enters into God’s palace, gives God infinite pleasure! like the pleasure  a parent would get, if somehow his child lost his way and five thousand years of longing for his child dissipates when he says “Dad I’m finally home!”
