The progression of the human race

 

Humanity progressed and always will progress, for growth is the purpose of creation.

 

Generally speaking, our sages teach us, there are three general stages in the progression of humanity.

 

The first is the creation – chaos period – when humanity emerged from nothing and took faltering steps towards creating civilization.

 

Civilization itself was hardly civilized, as in the oldest codes of conducts, for example, the Code of Hammurabi, where punishment for stealing was cutting off hand, much as the barbaric Saudis and other rigid Muslim societies practice.

 

Then came the correct code of conduct, the Torah!

 

The Torah was the first and only fair book where money stolen was to be repaid double; a life for a life, but only with one hundred percent irrefutable evidence; and many similar examples.

 

But this too is only a step in the progression of humanity! for fundamentally, a code of conduct, means that you and the conduct are not one.

 

Then came the two thousand years of redemption; in which humanity on a personal level would get to the identification, unification, integration, and hence perfect practice of the value system of, love and kindness!
