The past eight years have been traumatic – we have witnessed a collapse in all institutions we trust – well, we never trusted lawyers, but we learned that accounting firms lie, we learnt that banks were greedy (though to be fair it was the Clintons who initially encouraged them to make these frivolous loans, for the democratic party only wins when Americans are feeling rich, secure, and hence naive and stupid) we learned that the president is a conman, we certainly have little trust in any politician (just witness Trumps meteor rise) we have seen the failing of the supreme court to be able to discern between the sacred union of marriage and gay hookup (the average gay relationship lasts six-months and the average gay has over 300 hookups and even during the relationship they still engage in hook-ups) the list is endless
