The obvious truths

By zevi770 · February 16, 2015

I feel so stupid – well maybe that’s because I am!

The obvious truth should be so obvious, but then again, wherever there is desire (to think in any way) there is falsehood.

The obvious truth begins with Abraham, the first to break out of the dark layer of immoral desire, to seek truth (as the Rambam says “Since this genius began to search for truth…”)

He discovered, the first state of human wisdom; namely, things are not independent forces, rather, everything is a single unified macrocosmic force, concealing himself behind the veil of independent forces.

This of course is the monotheistic belief.

However, as we can tell, many are the suppositions of what exactly does this single force desire?!

From a Jewish perspective, he revealed a cannon ordering laws.

From Christianity: perhaps Jesus came to teach you to believe him.

From an Islamic perspective: something like, kill everyone.

Etc. etc.

But there was great secret, traversing literally 3 millennia, for within the Judaic cannon were mystical teachings, that only the masters in each generation received, and as we approach the messianic redemption beginning with the Holy Baal Shem Tov, began to be revealed.

It completely transformed Judaism (half of European Jews were his followers fifty years after his passing.)

In essence, the following “new” truth were revealed:

Number one, God is infinite.

Though this may seem obvious, it is not.

For human nature is to superimpose paradigms (so if I see another person, I immediately assume, “he is like me,” maybe wiser or dumber, but not completely different) whereas God’s mind, has no comparison to ours.

Infinity means, that there is no lack of ability (not that there is an ability, which is a definition – a limitation!)

Lacking, “lack of ability,” the question then becomes, so what exactly was God’s intent?

Ah’ number one, LOVE! – out of pure unconditional love for us, he created us (as a parent does for their child – the conception is clear, even before the conception!)

Number two, doing what is best for us, he divided the world into two stages – the first is the stage of effort, the second the stage of redemption (for reward that comes before effort, is called, “bread of shame.”)

In the first stage, Jews particularly were kept in the dark, instructed to follow the cannon (the Mitzvos of Judaism) often sacrificing their lives for details, as the very sacrifice imbibed reality with a higher reality.

However, ultimately it led (a lengthy Kabbalistic mechanism, which I guess isn’t that important) to the essence of God descending into our realm!

Remember, we see the essence is not limited, hence the reward for this sacrifice is, that now, for those who seek (even gentiles, for the essence is not limited to any limitation) are connecting (or shall we say, the essence is connecting in reply) in a personal, ever gradual, ever growing, ever transforming, ever both physically and spiritually satisfying mechanism.
