the most fundamental error

The most fundamental error we make about God is comparing him to like the CEO of a company.

Someone I know once told the Lubavitcher Rebbe he doesn’t understand the notion that every single detail, from a worm at the bottom of the ocean to the greatest Tzaddik’s life is supervised by God – O.k. I understand supervision over a saint – but over a worm?! – replied the Rebbe – You see, if you had a company, you would like to know how much stock you have, what the sales are etc. as this effects the decisions you need to make – Now let’s say you had a million stores, it would be impossible to know what’s going on in each, so a company has a pyramid scheme where the CEO makes the decisions which then go down a chain of command, but if you were God, well, you wouldn’t need the pyramid scheme.
