The miracle called time

My father who has studied much Jewish mysticism and written or translated over thirty books on the subject told me, that the Rebbe Rashab, the fifth Chabad Rebbe taught, that time is a miracle, for if time is always changing – the very nature of time is the change between the past and the present, then how can there be a present, for wouldn’t the present already be the future?!?

In simple words, consciousness – the ability to think coherently – is like the Shabbat; it’s an island of clarity, in an ocean of madness!
