The Meaning Of Life

By zevi770 · May 10, 2013

The thing is, as Einstein said, “a perfection of means and a confusion of aims, seems to me, to be our primary problem!” – the western world whose culture we live in, has perfected many means, we have lower death rates thank God – medicine – we have quicker transportation, planes etc. but of course, if you’re all dressed up and have nowhere to go, it is actually in a weird way, worse than not having gotten dressed! from the existential freedom from drudgery, just to survive, has come the existential aimlessness affecting most of us – ah’ this is where God and Jewish mysticism come in, for we say, that “It’s not how quick you get to your destination that matters, neither how long you live, rather it is the quality of your life! – have you made others happy? – that does!”
