The malady of jealousy

Jealousy is something we all have

 

I remember as a kid, I heard my sister was going to skating lessons but I wasn’t, so I was jealous

 

As the Talmud, as usual, sums it up best: people have jealousy from everyone, besides their children and disciples

 

But the most virulent form of jealousy, is something so viral that it affects nations, it is the cause of millennia of antisemitism, current rabid hatred of America, and it is jealousy over happiness

 

For if God-forbid someone feels they are entitled to happiness – usually we feel we are entitled to anything we have become accustomed to – and then that happiness is removed either though a tragedy, bully etc. etc. then the virus of jealousy over happiness enters

 

It is this virus which causes rational people to become wholly focused on demeaning others (bullies, antisemites, radicals, whether liberal or on the right) unbeknown to them, all of their causes are fictitious – the simple proof being, that if they were so concerned with causes, aren’t there millions of positive causes, like helping the poor, or feeding poor people or even animals they could engage in (and we see that they are singularly focused on demeaning “piously” not with assisting, and even if they ostensibly have a single cause, instead of focusing their rhetoric on raising money for it, they focus on demeaning others for not supporting it) this is all because subconsciously, jealousy, anger, resentment has set in!
