The list is endless but the facts remain – all through history, man, men, mankind is caught between the simple conflicting forces, the first, of our innate desire for pleasure, the second of our innate compassion, the third for our egotistical narcissistic desires – obviously, people seeking dominance, are ego, lacking compassion and even the pleasure instinct, for by nature, people enjoy friendship, so it is only when both their love for people as well as their love for themselves was lost (hence in essence being depressed, they don’t feel joy) that the darkest force in the universe emerges, mainly an ego driven person, lacking both conscience and compassion
