The letter hei teaches us how to live

By zevi770 · January 20, 2014

The hei has three lines, the line on top, the line on the side and the smaller leg to the left.

The line on top, represents thoughts; the line to the right, represents speech and the smaller line on the left represents action.

Why is there a gap between the part of thought and the part of action?

Chassidus explains, that though thoughts and speech may flow – action must have a second thought process.

For example, when I am thinking, I need not stop and ask myself if I am thinking, similarly, when I am speaking.

But when I am doing, I am descending into another realm.

Gone is the intellect from this realm.

Hence as Kabbalah teaches, all the details must conform to the intent.

Similarly, when I descend into the details, the action-steps based on my thought / desire – I must continuously ascertain that it all is consistent with my original goal!
