The lessons of a butterfly
By zevi770 · February 8, 2013
The other day, as it happens once a year in Johannesburg, beautiful cream colored butterflies emerged from their cocoons.
Suddenly, the sky became littered with snowflake like flutters.
But one unlucky butterfly got into my house.
It approached the window, time after time, after time and didn’t get out the high opening on top.
The next day, I saw it lying dead on the kitchen floor.
The lesson of a butterfly:
Why was it desiring to so desperately get out? was it fulfilling some grand scheme? did it know why it was born? and why it died?
The lesson is profound – are we not like the butterfly, hitting our head, a glass ceiling, not even really understanding why we are even alive! why we we’re created?! – is there a deeper meaning – is there a meaningful life??! Sent via my BlackBerry from Vodacom – let your email find you!
