The lesson from terrorism

By zevi770 · April 18, 2013

The truth is that a person is called a social creature – so people being social, friendly, loving, is our most natural state – what could possibly create malevolence – the answer is three things, the first is, we are social because we see people as being in our benefit and we receive an instinctive high from socializing, however, once we fear, God-forbid, people, due to having had our hearts broken; hence, we actually stop loving and fear leads to hate – as one doesn’t mind a fly hovering, but would readily kill a mosquito – in addition, a person still has the need for community, love, peers, but as the instincts are now propelling the person away from it, one becomes jealous of those who have it, hence antisemites were not against the body of the Jew, but the spirit, the camaraderie, the love, and that is the point behind terrorism; to spread fear, so they won’t be the only ones miserable; and finally, we need to believe that life is not only run by psychology, though psychology of course is real, rather, it is a message: and the message is for us to reach out with love to one another, to strengthen the lonely heart, to tie the broken heart, to unite humanity.
