The Kabbalah Constant

In life we are very very foolish!

The reason I say this, is, we have a tendency – males in particular – to have, as my grandmother calls it, tunnel vision!

We focus on a specific idea, usually as a result of a desire or social upbringing, and we do not see beyond it, as it is the holy-grail itself!

The very essence of God is the very essence of holding onto contradictions!

To define God, is to create another tunnel!

I once met a German believer in God who told me, “God is a God of order” – because Germans are stuck in order, from social engineering, hence, they created a God of order; as Hitler created a God who agrees with the killing of Jews (as he wrote in main-kamp,) as Mohamed created a God that would do jihad; so tunnel vision applies to athropomorphization of how people extrapolate God, for they do not see, as they cannot fathom, a multifaceted, contradictory holding God!

According to Jewish mysticism, God is a God of growth, hence every single nuance, like every shade in an artist’s canvas, is there to make a point – a point, is a single stroke, which leads one to a better life!

Hence the key thing to realize – Kabbalah / Chassidus, the teaching of being a spiritually developed person! is never to have tunnel vision – there is no tunnel! rather, there are many often contradictory teachings, all which create a better person! for each teaching, is an individual element, which creates a better human!!

For example, one Rebbe said, it states, “I am but dust and ashes” and it states, “the whole world was created for me!” so which is true? it depends; when you need to motivate yourself, tell yourself that the whole world was created for you, to make it a better place! and when you need to humble your ego, say, if Abraham the greatest of men was dust and ashes, then am I even dust or ash???
