The infinite sequence – what if God didn’t exist? – in other words, what if our perception of God doesn’t exist? namely, if the perception is wrong! – well here’s the news, as a Rabbi once said to an aithest, “in the God you don’t believe in, I don’t”, So the only true perception of God comes from Kabbalah and Kabbalah teaches us a. God has no ego, like empty space, like an egoless thought b. The people he made, he made with an ego, the ego is an insane desire to BE, it is fundementally a love for oneself (which is why unfortunately depression, a person can literally kill themselves for they not only have lost thier love but hate themselves) this love for ourselves is actually necessary for without it we would not feed, care for etc. ourselves, however it also like any and all desires has no rationality; a desire is like programming a computer in a direction and just letting it continuously perpetuate; that’s why God made us to go through stages: stage 1. development of ego – this occurs when as a baby we get fed, our ego imagined we created this reality, hence we fall in love with ourselves b. We then need to be disciplined – through hearing the dreaded word NO!, we learn that we are not in charge c. We then give credence to authority, as the only way we can justify this unfair state of affairs (that I must listen to another) is that they are God – the voice of all that is true:D d. We must become disenfranchised by this perception – realizing that those who came before us did so only in years not courage e. After we had our instinctual desires satisfied (mainly libidinal) we now are ready to search for the meaning of life f. At this point God appears as the Ball Shem Tov teaches, this happens follows 1. There is an initial euphoric understanding how the world has a God, it is beautiful etc etc 2. There is some kind of non-equitable destruction to this beauty, either in the form of evil, but it rapes our euphoric feeling and as by nature we are addicts (for we all desire pleasurable sensations) this loss (to us) is very great 3. We then begin to have wisdom understanding and an inner knowledge; we begin to realize that life was never about feeling pleasurable sensations – our ego was always simply a delusion- In short we begin to grow, but here comes the infinite sequence, for the ultimate intent of the entire creation is to reach the infinite sequence whereby as the Baal Shem Tov taught, every moment through everything – as our most hallowed belief Shema Yisroel attests – everything that exists, every encounter you have, sometimes even thoughts or a voice in your head is in fact the next step in your personal (Hence Global) development and we will all traverse 50,000 × 50,000 years of continuous personal (hence universal) betterment
