The holy grail of truth

Once in a while God enlightens – you see, there is something long wondered about have I (sound a lot more sophisticated when you mix up words – very Shakespearian.)
In any event, as our sages teach, a flash on inspiration is called Chochmah and in that flash thousands of years of questions can be answered.
We all want to know, what the heck is wrong with people?!
How do people murder, rape etc. etc.
It is obvious, that violence is not religiously based, rather it stems from a psychopath desire.
This of-course has been traced backed to ego – but the ego itself is very tenuous.
Kabbalah writes that three controllers control us, our mind, emotions and ego.
If I say your mind, you probably know what that is; if I say your emotions you likewise probably know (desires, phobias etc.) but if I say your ego, you probably like me, have a vague idea.
So here is what God granted me in a flash, the ego is the sense of entitlement.
For example, if you take two children – one who grows up in an impoverished background – s/he would feel very grateful if anyone gave them a dollar – if you take another kid who grows up wealthy and has a nice back account s/he would feel insulted if anyone just gave them a dollar – one feels entitled to nothing, the other to everything.
The problem with this sense of entitlement, is that as James Bond said, “the world is not enough.”
You see, one of the fundamental ideas of Chassidus is, that we are one, with conflicting drives – anyone who attempts to understand the human as a single drive cannot makes sense how sometimes we are nice and sometimes cruel, sometimes loving, sometimes selfish.
However, when we realize we are conflicting drives, this then becomes the holy grail of truth: to the extent that we are entitled is the extent that we expect our emotions to either be fulfilled or nothing bad should happen to us – as this is impossible, as our sages teach, no man dies with even half his desires for no matter what we do attain we will then only desire double! – hence, the egotistical person is quite simply never happy – and here is where things get clarified – as this person is egotistical, hence his ego cannot handle that you are happy – the ego then creates rationalizations that justify bullying, terrorism, and anti-semitism.
