The Hidden Treasures Within Every Jew
June 30, 2026
From the Yenukah
The Rav said that every Jew possesses hidden treasures.
He connected this beautifully to Yosef.
Yosef possessed immense wealth.
The Rav then mentioned the Midrash describing Eliyahu HaNavi when he was swallowed by the great fish. The belly of the fish became transparent like a submarine, allowing him to see all the treasures hidden beneath the sea that had belonged to Pharaoh.
The Zohar explains that these treasures represent the hidden treasures contained within every Jew.
Our task is to reveal those hidden treasures.
What are those treasures?
Even when a person falls to the deepest depths—to the very bottom of the sea spiritually—he must never despair.
A person may fall into sin.
A person may descend to very low places.
The question is:
What does he remember while he is falling?
The Rav said:
«”If Hashem allowed me to descend to this place, then even here He wants me.”»
Repent from that very place.
Raise the fall itself to the highest levels.
There is no such thing as a meaningless fall.
Always remember that your mission, wherever you are, is to reveal Godliness.
Even within the fall.
Even in the depths.
Those too are treasures waiting to be uncovered.
Do not ever break.
Remember:
The One who allowed you to descend there is ultimately the Creator Himself.
Therefore, even after falling, do teshuvah from that very place.
Return to the King.
By doing so, you elevate even the lowest places a person could possibly have reached.
The accusation against a person will not be:
«”Why did you fall?”»
The accusation will be:
«”Why, after falling, did you not return?”»
Why did you continue falling into despair?
Why did you think:
«”Who am I anyway?”»
That is not the correct response.
You fell where you fell.
Now remember that Hashem still wants you even there.
Call out to Him from your place.
Remember this:
Whatever you are going through in life, Hashem never despairs of you.
As long as you are alive, you still have a purpose.
Do teshuvah where you are.
Draw close to the King.
Cry out.
Seek Him.
Then everything will ultimately become good.
May we merit this.I kept your wording essentially unchanged and only improved the spacing, headings, and quotations to make it easier to read in a book.
