The greatest perception is, that the only thing that exists is God, which ironically, science has contributed the greatest window:

We used to think, that things were separate entities – the sun, the grass, certainly were not the same.

Then along came Einstein and said, all matter is energy.

Along came quantum physics and said, at the most, matter can be considered to be only a thought.
