The greatest error in human history — repeated throughout history — is that instead of being reflective, instead of learning from the past, people often become obsessed with destroying the past and replacing it with some strange ideology. Whether it was communism, or today various forms of extreme socialism and collectivism, these systems repeatedly fail because they go against basic human nature.Human beings need both individuality and community.A healthy society cannot crush the individual beneath the demands of a movement, ideology, or small group claiming to know what is best for everyone. Yet likewise, pure selfish individualism also destroys society.The wisdom of G-d is that every human being is unique, valuable, and free — but that freedom comes with sacred responsibility.We are not meant to dominate one another, nor erase one another, but to build a world where personal purpose and collective compassion exist together.True civilization is not built by destroying identity, history, family, faith, or morality.It is built when people freely choose goodness, responsibility, kindness, truth, and higher purpose.
