The great irony of life – we are born not as recipients – we come from heaven in which our souls were completely independent (of need) in fact, even in the whom we were independent– our sages teach, a little child first sucks on his clenched fist to curb his hunger pains and only after his pain is too much (as in all cases) does he begin to cry – how noble are we! – it is only when we lose our belief, self-respect, that ironically to reclaim our dignity, we become greedy, animalistic, as well as sadistic
