The Gallery Of Our Greats

If we think of all the great saints in Judaism, from Abraham to the Lubavitcher Rebbe, we can see what it means to live as a Jew; for we often erroneously think Judaism is a diet – Judaism is not a diet, it is a mechanism; the difference between the two is great indeed – a diet is a regiment of what one needs to eat to stay healthy (for example;) a mechanism is a means to an end – the car is not an end, it gets you to where YOU WANT TO GO – if we do not understand the destination of Judaism, in fact, Judaism can simply drive you to the exact opposite of where you should or need to go – succinctly, look at the hearts of these saints and realize, they were not egotistical, they were not detached, they fulfilled God’s desire, to, “love your fellow man as yourself!”
