The Four Cosmic Goals

What if we are really a robot preprogrammer in four directions:

 

The first is the direction of “give me” – in this role we are born, as we have needs that only “the adults” can take care of – furthermore as natural addicts (as Rabbi Dr. Twersky says, we are all born addicts) to pleasure, we have a “give me” desire.

 

The second direction is “stay away” – whenever there is something that frightens us – In fact, as people often become a source of anxiety (due to previous negative experiences) we often create a false exterior in which in essence tells everyone – “Stay Away!” – there are numerous phobias that we pick up based on experiences.

 

The Third is the worst, it is “destroy” – this is when something angers us – unfortunately whenever we develop an ego (sense of being grand) we also suffer from its two symptoms – the first is misery  (for whenever you consider yourself grand, you likewise imagine you are entitled – for example a prince / spoiled child, and as no one else thinks so, you end up believing that people are cheating you) the second thing is jealousy, for if you are entitled, then whatever anyone else has, is stolen from you! or at the very least unfair – now we all wish for life to at least be fair – so the just thing to do is to rape the other person – This is what is behind bullying, the demeaning of others, for your ego assumes it isn’t fair (this is why bullies pick on nice people, as we see with antisemitism, antiamericanism, by bullies like black radicals etc.) In fact ego is so bad, it is also what causes depression and suicide for the ego gets angry at its host.

 

Last but not least, and the ultimate destination – the complete antidote to ego, namely humility
