The Fallacy Called Rational Humans

Einstein perhaps as usual said it best “The mind cannot lead.”
One of his famous quips (not to say I agree with all of it but underscoring a point) “Science without religion is blind…”
In other words, though many people hailed science as the new religion, Einstein vehemently disagreed that science has anything to say about right or wrong, it simply is the study of a flower, not the difference between good and evil!
The fallacy of the mind – as always described best by the Rebbe – is how Germany was the premier country dedicated to ethics based on human understanding, where all the smart philosophers and humanitarian works were being written and the very same scientific community sanctioned barbarism reserved for things that would make Genghis Kahn (not a Kohen BTW ) proud!
Can the two really correlate; can people gas using Zyklon B to save cost on murder!?
Can the mind in fact be the tool of destruction, not construction, it claims?!

Heart / instincts, we all know that we shouldn’t eat so much chocolate, smoke and many other destructive habits, so obviously our instincts are most often STRONGER than our minds!
Or the liver / ego which is the case of Hitler and all antisemites, that their low self esteem causes them to create internal delusions of grandeur which causes them to despise those who are truly grand, namely the people who have soft kind hearts, as Einstein said, the Germans couldn’t have been against the Jews as a race – what their mind told themselves was their cause of hatred – for Jews come from every race (Hitler himself looked nothing like the race he ostensibly was trying to protect) rather Jews all have kind hearts that believe in social justice and it is this love, that hate, hates.
