the entire history of humanity: its beginning middle and noble end

you see, every story has a beginning, middle and end
it’s the nature of a story
there are many versions as to what was the beginning, why; though some don’t even question, what exactly is the middle? and most importantly how will it all end – Armageddon, Messiah?
You see, we all need a story:
A story provides a context.
It helps us understand who we are, where we come from and most importantly if we have hope.
And I don’t know much, but one thing I do and that is the perspective of Jewish mysticism.
And I believe this is the only true and real story.
The story is a love story between love itself and its desire to love, as our sages state, the reason for Creation is the Creator’s heart, wished to love, and in order to love you must have whom to love (much like a parent gives birth out of love to an offspring, ready to dedicate their entire life to this, only out of love.)
That was the beginning.
We are in the middle.
But what is the best? For if you love, you give your very best, as the hebrew word for love connotes, as it has the hebrew word “hav” to give, in the word ahavah.
You see, we can only give what we can conceive of, but if of-course your conceptual paradigm is unhindered by any possible limitation, well then you can truly give what is very best.
And this is the reason life is so tragic.
For if we cannot mess up, we can’t earn a reward.
And if we cannot earn what is good, then its gift would not only be meaningless, but as our sages call it “bread of shame” – a shameful handout like the shame a beggar must feel when he eats a half eaten pizza.
You see, for our lives to matter, for God’s gift to matter, we had to go through the rivers of hell.
Only by holding a light in the greatest darkness, by sacrificing our lives, and those whom we loved, from Masada to the auto-da-fe, from the Crusaders to the Cossacks, from the Egyption’s using Jewish childrens blood for Pharaohs’ bath, to the Nazis gassing them, only in this way, could the light be rightfully ours.
And in every generation, there is a reincarnation of Moses – in fact, we are all simply the same generation, reincarnating over and over, learning more and more good deeds, and in ours, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, uniquely and categorically stated some amazing statements, never before ever said by any of our great Mosess’!
For one “Moshiach is here!”
For another, that the long awaited messiah is nothing more, though nothing less, then the revelation of God.
But if God has no being, how can he reveal himself.
True a physical being can appear in a physical way but a spiritual being can appear in the form of guidance.
Yes though God has no physical form, he does have a spiritual format!
And the format of Divine revelation, what perhaps has and what certainly will come to you when you seek it hard enough is nothing less than as the good appellation for it “the holy spirit” – in other words, when the Divine voice will begin to make an appearance.
Einstein said “God is subtle, never malicious.”
Yes, for we all assume the Divine would, like a human make a grand entry.
In fire and smoke, in thunder and in lightening, his entry would magically, thoroughly and eloquently capture our obedience.
But if the purpose of Creation is love, love always leaves space.
Love never consumes, only hate does; love is bonding, unifying, merging!
Where two learn how to dance a delicate dance.
Where two learn how to sing in perfect harmony.
Eventually where the two become one.
