The death of authority

I was reading in a business magazine how different generations relate to authority.
Todays youngsters would sms the ceo “you know it isn’t right to speak to Carl that way.”
Is this bad, or, a good thing?
As always, bad and good should never be judged based on if it is traditional or not, for many traditions, say Germanic attitude, Arab culture, are abusive, patriarchal, and as a culture or race have caused the suffering to millions, if not tens, if not hundreds of millions of people.
Rather good and bad, is, in fact, quite simply, nice or mean.
The generation whose access to information, technology, empowerment, perhaps exceeds their parents, is a generation in whom traditional doesn’t exist, all that exists in their precious sublime souls is right and wrong, and as the Rebbe says, more than we can teach this generation, we can learn from them!
