The day the delusion of world peace died

By zevi770 · March 30, 2016

Yes it was a day in which history will never forget, for the sheer barbarity, savagery and gleeful delight in ramming two planes, packed with people, by Arab terrorists from Saudi Arabia, brought up on a diet of hatred to us, and with murderous intent, smashing into two world trade centers for the sole purpose of causing death and mayhem.

And yet this very day was repeated continuously in Israel – war after war, bombing and bombing – Why did 9/11 capture the world’s imagination and not the horrific attacks against Holocaust survivors?

The answer is the nature of delusion.

You see delusion is a function of desiring to have it good.

Yes, when we have it good our delusions only multiply – it is an interesting fact, having lived in New York for many years, that after 9/11 people became nice – for a while, until we had it good and went back to being delusional.

You see, in the end of the day, what is truly behind these attacks from a spiritual perspective is the messianic redemption!

How so? – How does barbarism mix with love?

And yet amazingly it truly does!

We see this sadly in Israel to where petty differences highlighted by politicians to gain votes, turn those who observe a little more or less into stringent ideological nemesis.

And yet, when Gaza barrages rockets, caring little how much gefiltah fish you eat on Shabbos; when Arab terrorists are rampaging like blood-thirsty wolves, suddenly we remember something extraordinary – that person down the road is just like me.

And my humble prediction is – believe it or not our sages teach, common sense is even greater prophecy than prophecy; as they say, who is wise, one who can see where things lead to – this global Jihad sparked by the generalized jealousy of love, peace, truth and civility will actually cause love, peace, civility and a world which fundamentally abandons senseless delusional materialistic ego driven gaols, in pursuit of pure spiritual selfless ones.
