The contribution and the error of psychology

By zevi770 · November 30, 2011

Until Freud people saw the world as, it is what it is.

People were good bad or somewhere in between.

Freud speaks how the subconscious plays the primary role in the consciousness of man.

In this, psychology has advanced the frontiers of human understanding of self.

However as the Chassidus saying goes “Freud dug in the ground and found worms, had he dug deeper he would have found water.”

In other words, the deeper you dig the closer you get to God, truth.

In other words, man is not just a composite of an animal and a mind capable of altering animalistic behavior as Freud gives the example of a horse and a rider, rather he is a composite of God an animal and a mind capable of altering human behavior.
