Not seeing the forest from the trees is a major problem.
The Alter Rebbe speaks of the colossal error of making what is least important most, and what is most least, as the Rebbe Rashab says in yesterdays Hayom Yom, there is no benefit to Avodah (the whole goal of Chassidus) and Yiras Shamim (reverence for God, perhaps the main goal of Judaism) if the most important component, Ahavas Yisroel, love your fellow Jew is missing!
