the construction, destruction and possible reconstruction

in the beginning we are born – if we are lucky we have a loving mother – this person will feed, nurse etc. – now within us we have two opposing realities – the first is the ego that assumes whatever comes its way confirm its assumption that it is the be all and end all of the universe! the second is a mind capable of objectively searching, seeking, discovering, ultimately both finding truth and dictating (through the mind’s speech) our behavior – Between these two extremes is our heart – instincts – like all animals, we are hardwired to feel good and never feel comfortable, hence we cry when we are hungry, need to go to sleep etc. – hopefully having a good mother we develop a sense of love – We see people as being a pretty good deal (as we have discuses elsewhere, by the time we are a toddler the ego goes into a maniac stage – hence the tantrums, until we learn we are little pipsqueaks and hence our mind becomes open and throughout our life, to the extent our ego is large our brain is small – even Einstein said: the more accolades I get the dumber I become!) however as we go through life (as studies show) there will be people jealous of our happiness – this could even be a parent, for jealousy has no compassion and takes no prisoners or more precisely bonds all in its hold – Hence we discover a evil cancer in a human – pure cruelty for the sake of cruelty – now the reason cruelty exists, is because of jealousy, as the saying (which I heard from Rabbi Jacobson today) there is no such thing as cruelty without a crying heart – But to the person on the receiving end of cruelty, they need to fundamentally reassess their prior belief system (this is so fascinating for literally for millennia bad gentiles (in contrast to good) have tried to induce this hatred reflex in Jews unsuccessfully – I don’t know of any other nation, so badly bruised, but continuously picks up the pieces – heck after a holocaust just some seventy years later Israel is a global superpower – so the reason the gentiles never could, nor ever can break the Jews is simple, the Jewish people have learned to have low expectations – so in fact the realignment of how you think occurs only if it was in contrast to how you thought) Now a person of disassociation occurs – for no more can you unconditionally love all people – In this dissociation, quite simply we develop a hard heart – whereas before (as we see in the compassion of children) we would feel another’s pain, we become callous – It states, when the messiah will come God says “I will remove your heart of stone” for fundamentally we do wish to love, but when it will be safe – When we will feel joy, then our ice hearts will melt like snow and bubble like a hissing tea kettle
