We tend to see what was, as what should be – I recall reading a quote by Socrates how ill-mannered children in his time are.
We may say the same, but the same was said about us.
In other words, society somehow educates its children etc. etc.
But the values of society are what get passed down, for in educating the child, these are the standards transmitted.
This is in fact a very grave error – one in which the current shifting standards of societies were set in motion by God to replace.
The truth of the matter is that society needs standards, but if we just transmit the same standards it means that societies has not grown – all it has done is passed on a baton and anything – especially a living thing that isn’t growing actually is in the process of rotting.
For this reason, our past generation saw cataclysmic upheavals for all the old standards were rejected to make way for the Messianic ideal when God Himself will be the individual father to each and every person – when hierarchies will dissipate and when knowledge – like in the internet model will be googled at will.
