The Bottom Line

There is something that we don’t see
It’s called a foundation
Yet without a foundation we can see nothing
There is someone we don’t see
It’s called our identity
Yet without an identity, we are nothing
Now our identity is who we subconsciously assume we are
This identity is primarily role-modeled
Hence a Jewish kid thinks he’s a Jew
A Muslim, a Muslim etc.
An American, an American.
However there is a story that comes with our identity.
And the story matters.
For example, in the Jewish case, it is a proud story of a man who discovers God and God chooses him (because all of Jewish catastrophic suffering is written on a proud story, the Jew always has dignity.)
But for example (unfortunately) the Arab story is a sad story – (as told to me by a former plo terrorist who wrote a book “the mind of terror”) it is a story of a child who was punished -banished from their home (hence the tremendous aggression, for shame creates jealousy – hence antisemitism.)
But ultimately what every person is challenged – in fact the sole challenge – the very first words to any believer – “Leave your innate identity, your identity based on instincts (you are not for example a person who likes food, rather a body that creates a chemical reaction inducing you through both reward and punishment to eat) Leave what your identity based on your father’s faith…, Leave your identity based on your culture.”
Become God’s!
