The most important Jewish prayer of course is Shemah Yisroel, the declaration, not that there is a God, but that there is nothing but God!
On a practical level, we must see life, not that there are good and bad forces in this world, which there seems to be; rather that there are pleasurable and corrective forces; so though the person who may be cruel is acting out of jealousy; the bizarre fact that jealousy exists, for we don’t see it at all in the entire animal kingdom, is because, harshness reduces our ego, which makes us into gentler people.
