The battle between the information our senses and our minds teach us

By zevi770 · June 24, 2013

What is a person? – the Rebbe teaches, his opinions!

But what’s our opinion, based on?!

God is a single entity, existing, but not a physical existence.

So, true existence is like a thought, here but not physical.

However, God desired a home in the physical realm, in our hearts.

So in order to do this, firstly a physical world had to be created.

Now what is a physical world? – for if matter is energy, is our physical world matter, or energy?

The answer is, it depends what you’re looking at!

We are born and perceive the world as it is, hence we think both we and our world is made up of matter, not the invisible energy behind it.

So in other words, we have a dichotomy – we have the perception of reality, which as Einstein says “reality is an illusion (and the physicists are best placed to teach us this) albeit a very persistent one.”

However, our mind teaches us the truth – that the only reality is God, energy is God, hidden from us!

And this is in fact the challenge of life.

“See I have placed before you life and death, choose life!”

Explains the Alter Rebbe we SEE death, we need to remind ourselves that behind the matter is God, the SOURCE OF ALL LIFE.
