The Baal Shem Tov’s God

 

 

As many religions there are, as many Gods are there

 

Of course there is but one God

 

The Baal Shem Tov introduced the truth about God, which as we have had occasion to teach, eliminated the common human error of anthropomorphization (creating a God in the image of man, not the other way around.)

 

The key factor in the Baal Shem Tov’s God, is infinity.

 

Infinity itself is anthropomorphized, for people see the infinite relative to the finite, so it is more than less; while infinity is the ability for anything! Hence, it is neither more nor less, it is the ability to do whatever it wants, including combining opposites, for example, imbuing physical matter with divine energy.

 

But the Baal Shem Tov’s God – and the point of this article – in essence, is a God that truly is your God!

 

A God who created you in your current reality to give you freedom of choice;

 

Yet freedom of choice means not abandonment, rather free to choose the light or the darkness;

 

And for there to be light there needs to be an ACTIVE participation from God;

 

This participation – though non-intrusive, hence entirely invisible if we so choose it to be – is God’s communication with us;

 

This communication is in everything we see and everything we hear;

 

Yes the entire world is God’s video game – our only choice is between realizing this or not;

 

Once we do accept that life is constantly being created, like a video game constantly being put in front of your face, then the point is, that life is constantly teaching us, and all we need to do is open our minds to discerning its lessons!!!
