The Baal Shem Tov teaches, a new way to look at relationships

By zevi770 · December 2, 2013

In the west we have been programmed to see relationships as two people who fall in love and become inseparable, joined at the hip, with, completely obsessed, with each other!

Of course, the west is simply describing momentary infatuation – the rush of new love!

The Baal Shem Tov teaches, relationships are like dancers who go in and out of a circle – relationships have a ying and yang – of course we can tell that he who created relationships agrees with the Baal Shem Tov, for God instructs us in the Torah, that firstly before marriage one shouldn’t have intimacy, and even after; there is a two week, ying and yang relationship – for ultimately, what is a relationship but the rush of new love?! – and if a person indulges in anything, say ice cream, after two weeks it will lose its taste!
