The Alter Rebbe said – “The Moshiach that people are waiting for, is not coming; and the Moshiach that is coming, no one is waiting for!” – as Chassidus explains, there are two levels to God – there is, God in his infinite realm and God as he lowers himself into the finite realm – generally speaking, people were looking for the finite God – you know, the guy who will make the world peaceful, filled with material goodness – that is obviously, a pathetic need – The Moshiach that is coming, is the infinite God! – You know, the guy who is beyond any limitation, paradigm; hence, able to descend into your finite mind – and in ever loving doses, give you greater wisdom, understanding and knowledge – spiraling you into perpetual growth!
