The 5 absolute stupidities of Buddhism – first and foremost some of Buddhism doesn’t believe in God – secondly, the basic assumption is that everyone suffers, which is obviously untrue – the next assumption is that if you rid yourself of all your desires you won’t suffer, which may be true, but you won’t have any purpose, meaning, and joy either, the 3rd stupid premise is that the goal is to reach a state of Nirvana which basically means I guess a oneness with God and effectively again it’s about removing suffering, it’s not about what God wants and the fourth stupid premise is you don’t reach out to others – rather you wait for them to come to you, and last but not least ultimately one of the big things of Buddhism is try to rid oneself of the ego, but the ego is necessary and the ultimate is directing it, not eliminating it
