If you’re a Jew, once upon a time ago, not so long ago, you had to run for your life; where you ran, you were insecure, from nazis to communists, to crazy radical muslims; life was very very hellish; to the extent, that Victor Frankel writes, that when someone shouted in their sleep in their bunk in the holocaust, they wouldn’t awaken the nightmare, for their reality was worse!
